It takes more courage than most people understand to allow yourself the creative freedom to write and then to POST IT for others to read. If she felt even a fraction of my nerves she is to be commended for doing this! I love it to pieces and honestly can't wait for more. So many questions, so many story threads to pull. Awwwww Shit!
Any wayz, Props to my Bestie! It was super exciting to be an outsider looking in at these characters who coincide in this same fictional sphere, and I think it would be awesome sauce if tons of us dreamt up various plot lines and characters and they all connected somehow-- if only through living in the same world and sharing that one conceit: Everyone has Secrets.
It is incredibly fun and liberating and celebratory... I believe.
So WRITE friends, WRITE! Don't get in your own way, don't get hung up or stopped up or over-analytical. We all have amazing stories to tell. Let's join the grand tradition and TELL STORIES!
(Aaron loved Danielle's piece too and was actually quite shocked and his jaw literally dropped and he was like: "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!?!?!?" Interrabanged all over. heeheehee. Now he says maybe he'll have to write a cedar falls story too, but not make his as pornographic as we ladies have done so far. WahWah. I told him to work on a murder mystery perhaps. But let me just say that he writes strong sexual imagery all the time, so I bet if he does end up writing there will be some weird fetish shit in there or something, so he's full of baloney.)
In related news:
I was a brat this morning and didn't get up with Aaron. It was petty. I kind of feel terrible about it now, but really? It won't kill him to have to get up without me, grab his own breakfast and snacks for lunch. Maybe he's been taking this for granted a little?
IDK.
The ZOMBIE book arrived in the mail the other day and he is super psyched about it. I'm incredibly happy and proud of him. I encourage you all to get a copy, but royalties weren't part of his contract so we don't get any extra money if you do purchase it, lol.
He's an incredibly talented man. And a good man. And I love him to bits.
I just didn't want to get up this morning because I was grumpy about a few things.
We'll work through it.
In fact, by way of making up with him virtually, I think I'll post some of his writing today instead of mine. He got really excited by the prospect, more excited than I'd have expected, so I think I'll do it. He's asked me more than once now: "Did you post any of my stories?" Please note that he's asked that several times and stubbornly refuses to ask me to read my stuff to him. lol.
It has become a battle of the wills with him asserting that I can read to him whenever I want and Me asserting that I will only read to him if he asks. We're two prideful, stubborn people and this war of the wills is likely to drag on, and is likely to effect me far more than it will bother him.
I'm trying very hard to take Julia's advice and not care so much what he thinks of my writing. It ain't easy sisters.
His name is spelled correctly in the final version, the one that went to print. Look at those illustrations!! Woot!

I can't take ALL the credit for the sexy parts. The Papi is surprisingly - well - he helped me out.
