I missed a day...

I missed a day.

Did you notice?

Yeah.  I did.

It was a really rough day for me.  

All the things I've been trying not to think about or deal with finally reared their ugly heads and Aaron and i fought and it was pretty black and awful.  Really fucking grim.

I won't go into it because I promised myself this blog wouldn't be about that.  But yeah.  I missed a day.

This morning we had some fun in bed, then went to get coffee at my favorite place ever, Mary Lou's, grabbed a bite at Breanna's (little bfast place near Adam & Danielle), then scooted over to Lowe's to pick up a folding table, for which we can think of dozens of uses!  

One of those uses:  I'mma make a "GET A JOB" station\headquarters!  And Aaron has agreed to help!  

So I hope to be quite engrossed in the endeavor of prepping and sending out as many job apps as possible over the next few weeks. A task I have been avoiding like the plague for over a month now.  It was like I did this manic first wave, all hopeful and starry-eyed, and when that yeilded bupkiss I lost the ambition and the will to continue with the fruitless practice.  It felt pointless.  And bitch hates busy work.  Bitch hate pointless task.

But after a very long and tearful and emotional catharsis with Aaron yesterday, I am officially recomitting myself to the cause.  

Despite my reservations.  Despite my suspicion that it is all a bit too-little-too-late.  Despite everything.  Because really?  What other choice is there?  The alternative, what I had been doing (which is actually more like 'not doing' than doing), was going to absolutely destroy my marriage and my life.

So time for change.

After watching several hours of Arrested Development and practicing card tricks and bracelet making, however.

I am swiftly becoming "Beast" at the Candy Stripe stitch and Aaron is, as I type this, trying to get a playing card to stick into a candle.  

But there sits the new folding table, over yonder, awaiting my inevitable and imminent JOB STATIONING!
