Lenovo Ideapad

I'm getting a little jealous of these adorable little netbook laptops that people are acquiring lately. I never had any desire for one, but then i saw them in real life and they are precious! Also, so light and so portable!

Aaron's lenovo Ideapad just arrived in time for the new school year and boy, is he ever jazzed. It's wicked awesome too. It has this screen that can spin 360 degrees, and functions as a tablet and all sorts of things that are awesomesauce.

Meanwhile, though I am eternally grateful that Aaron was able to resuc my harddrive and put it in the body of Lappenstein here, I couldn't honestly call it a 'laptop'. For it has never once been in my lap. Frankenlappy needs to remain pretty stationary, as it's power cord falls out if you look at it wrong and aaron managed to wear down its battery so that when said cord drops out Frankenlappy has got maybe five minutes to live before it shuts right the fuck down.

Also, this lappenstein is a big mother fucker. and heavy. and cumbersome. This is the deluxe 17" screen, which aaron purchased so that it would be awesome to watch tv and movies on, but goodluck even finding a laptop bag that can accommodate this bad larry.

And it gets real hot, real fast, which --i now know-- is dangerous for motherboards (oh lappy, how I miss thee... forgive me lappy...), so Aaron insists that this fat bitch stays on a chill pad at all times. except we don't have a real chillpad. We have an improvized chillpad that aaron had cobbled together out of spare parts, ingenuity, and an old cardboard box. Yeah.

So as much as I adore Lappenstein for coming through in the clutch for me, fo being here and being mine, i do rather wish I could get more intimate with my laptop. Take it on escapades, cuddle up in bed. But Frankenlappy is just not an easy laptop to get close to. He keeps me at such a distance. And goddamn but he's high maintenance.

Aaron is over there caressing his perky little lenovo, using the touch-pad tablet function, and the way his eyes light up at the sight of her... I must admit I'm feeling pangs of jealousy and envy both.

I could bedazzle my "precious lady" right now and I don't think he'd spare more than a cursory glance over before turning his attention back to that tiny little piece of electronic ass.

i kinda want one too. Imagine me trying to cart this thing to my job--whenever I get said theoretical job?? Not gonna happen. Leppenstein is strictly a stay-at-home lappy. Kind of a hermit, if I'm going to be perfectly frank.

Ah well. hope you all out there are enjoying your young, trim, sexy little lappies. How small they feel in your hands, how fresh and vital they are.

i'm in a comitted relationship with a more-of-me-to-love old stick-in-the-mud hybrid lappenstein. But he gets the job done, right? speaking of... i want to try and write some stories, so, peace out.
